James B. Duncan III

Jim was born in Augusta and graduated Richmond Academy in 1965. He graduated Augusta College in 1969 (BBA), Georgia College at Milledgeville in 1972 (MBA), and Atlanta Law School in 1987 (JD). He took and passed the Georgia Bar prior to graduating law school and has practiced law in Augusta since then. He is also on the faculty of the Institute for Continuing Legal Education and has been an invited speak to local attorneys about DUI law and the Update on Georgia Law seminar held in Augusta.

Jim was the founding member of the firm but has now fully retired in 2018 after turning over ownership to Tiffini in 2015. After practicing law for over 30 years, his regular presence in the courtroom will be missed. Jim had many adventures in retirement up until his passing in 2023.
